Integration of people with disabilities on the labor market

Integration of people with disabilities on the Romanian labor market – an abandoned moral duty by all of us.

Despite the countless projects of the last 30 years, the sources of funding made available to this field or the successive legislative frameworks have led today, in 2021, to a general feeling of powerlessness in this field.

Public institutions do NOT employ people with disabilities at the rate required by law.

Large employers do NOT hire people with disabilities at the rate required by law.

Associations that represent the interests of people with disabilities do NOT manage to have a positive impact in terms of increasing their rate of integration into the labor market.

Families in which people with disabilities are born and raised, for various reasons, directly compete with their interest in evolving independently, individually, towards a free, fair financial life.

Anti-discrimination institutions fail to really monitor this area.

Monitoring and statistical institutions fail to provide clear data in this area.

The possibility for large employers (Public or Private) to pay a tax instead of employing people with disabilities is basically another form of discrimination, as you cannot solve a social problem that targets 850,000 people through a tax.
